Oct 29 Back up with some rap updates

I've moved and got things setup quick fast so I'm back up with the updates. Snoop's set to release a new single from his CD, "Just Dippin". Master P was cut from the Toronto Raptors as the season sets to begin. He released his new album titled "Only God Can Judge Me". Still can't believe he bit that title. For anybody who saw the movie Friday, the sequel Next Friday should be released this Christmas. The soundtrack has a collaboration of Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, look for it to drop Dec. 7th. Warren G's album, "I want it all" has been released. I haven't heard it yet but I hear it's good. Look for Kurupt and Dr. Dre to both drop their cd's November 16th. Speaking of Kurupt, police have a lead in the shooting outside his studio in which Kurupts security guard was murdered and 2 others were injured. They say it's not rap related.

Oct 27 Moving ...

I'm in the process of moving so I won't be able to update the site for the next little while.  I'm moving far so it's gonna take me awhile to set me things up and hook up on the internet again.  I'm hoping it's not going to take too long but I can't be sure of any time limit.  Until I'm back with the updates enjoy the site, run wild with the message forum and don't forget to vote.

Oct 25 Counter, New Poetry "Rose that grew from the concrete" released

If anybody knows where I can get a good counter from can they please contact me and let me know.   My counter has been resetting consistently and screwing up weekly totals.

A book of Tupac's poetry has been released entitled "The Rose that Grew from the Concrete".  You can order it online.   The book has 72 poems.  On the left hand side there's the poem that Tupac hand wrote, on the right will be the poem typed.  I'd recommend any Tupac fan get this book.  It shows a side of Tupac that not everyone is familiar with.

Liberty Needs Glasses

Excuse me but lady liberty needs glasses
And so does Mrs Justice by her side
Both the broads R blind as bats
Stumbling Thru the system
Justice Bumbed into mutulu and
Trippin' on Geronimo Pratt
But stepped right over Oliver
And his crooked partner Ronnie
Justice stubbed her big toe the invians
Slavery was a learning DHASE
Forgotten with out a verdict
While Justice is on a rampage
4 endangered Survining Black males
I mean really if anyone really valued life
And cared about the masses
They's take'em both 2 pen optical
And get 2 pair of Glasses

When Are Hero Falls My Hero (my Mother)

When your hero falls from grace
All Fairy tales R uncovered
Myths exposed and pain magni fied
The greatest pain discovered
U Taught me 2 be strong
But I'm confused 2 C U so weak
U Said never 2 give Up
And it hurts 2 C U welcome defeat
When ure Hero falls so do the stars
And so does the perception of tomorrow
Without my hero there is only
Me alone 2 deal with my sorrow
Your heart ceases 2 work
And your soul is not happy at all
What R U expected 2 do
When ure only Hero falls

In The Depths of Solitude

Eye, Exist in the Depths of Solitude
Pondering my true goal
Trying 2 find peace of mind
And still preserve my soul
Constantly yearning 2 be accepted
And from all receive respect
Never comprising but sometimes risky
And that is my only regret
A young heart with an old soul
How can there be Peace
How can eye be in the depths of Solitude
When there R 2 inside of me
This Duo within me causes
The perfect oppurtunity
2 learn and live twice as fast
As those who accept simplicity

JADA (4 Jada)

U R the omega of my heart
The foundation 4 my conception of Love
When i think of what a Black woman should be
It's U that I first think of

U will never fully understand
How deeply my Heart Feels 4 U
I worry that we'll grow apart
And i'll end up losing u

U bring me 2 climax without sex
and u do it all with regal grace
U R my Heart in Human Form
A Friend I could never replace

Oct 24 Desktop Themes, Details on Xchange Sndtrk., New Poetry

Not everybody is getting the newest updates on the page because of the frequent updates. If your browser cache is set to long you may have to refresh the pages.

Anybody who's a true Pac fan has to have there computer customized with a wicked Tupac Desktop.  For some tight desktop themes, here's a new site open, definately a site you wanna check out.   [ Neil's Desktop Themes ]

Xchange Motion Picture Soundtrack is a special tribute to Tupac that includes tracks by Kurupt w/Snoop Dogg, Daz, Ras Kass, Sanyika Shakur aka Monster Kody, Prodeje, Young Prod, Typhoon, K-Dee, Mr. Tan and much more.

For more info on the film and soundtrack, check out www.ABCProductions.com or call 800-201-4015.

1. Intro (Pac Poem)-Typhoon From the film, this is a tributory poem to Tupac performed by Typhoon .

2. Cali-California-Mr. Tan w/Alexx Daye Produced by TOJ-1200, Cali-California is on its way to becoming a California classic. The polished vocals show Mr. Tan is well in-command of the mic while Alexx Daye shines like a diamond on the hook.

3. Xchange (rock)-Fencekiller w/Typhoon This rock/rap composition is the co-title track for the film.  Fencekiller and Typhoon show what rock/rap is supposed to sound like.

4. Story To Tell-Kurupt w/Snoop Dogg KURUPT + SNOOP = PLATINUM This song is already being bumped up and down streets in the west.

5. Real Thing-Valerie Watson Valerie Watson (from Club Nuveau) works her magic here. Here beautiful vocal arrangement along with Tony Hodson’s production combine for a very attractive and easy listening track.

6. Articulate Thug-Ras Kass w/ Eastwood As usual, Ras Kass (Rasassination) handles the mic like a surgeon, peeling your skin and putting it back. Stu-B-Doo’s signature beats and Eastwood’s catchy hook will be around forever. The streets are already singing it.

7. Litany-evenrude This band headlined a concert at the Xtreme Games, 1999. Their energy and sound will knock
you down.

8. Xchange (rap)-Typhoon In this co-title track, Typhoon takes you on tour through the streets of L.A. The landmark lyrics are unequaled.

9. Bocephus-Fencekiller From the opening guitar, Fencekiller doesn’t let
up. This strong track proves this soundtrack is more than just hip-hop.

10. Whatchu Talkin' About-Daz w/Young Wee In his own words, this is the hardest track Daz has recorded since leaving Death Row. This track
showcases his smooth but venomous style on the mic with Young Wee adding his own tight raps. In the infamous track, Calling Out Names, Kurupt goes after those who talk about signing Daz. Here, Daz addresses those fools himself. Stand back.

11. Promise Me-Valerie Watson Once again, Valerie provides outstanding vocals on an R&B track that is ready for airplay.

12. Mo' Chedda-K-Dee w/Glock K-Dee is known for his air tight lyrics about the ladies and nothing has changed here. TOJ-1200’s beats are HUGE.

13. Lust-Fencekiller Fencekiller slow things down here for an outstanding acoustic track.

14. Don't Give A F**k-Prodeje, Young Prod, Sanyika Shakur aka Monster Kody, Texas 99 & Young Wee This is truly a one-of-a-kind track. South Central Cartel’s Prodeje and Young Prod get with the infamous Sanyika Shakur (aka Monster Kody) in his rapping debut. Also featured are Texas 99 and Young Wee putting down an L.A. anthem straight from the streets.

15. Poetry In Motion-This Guy Mike
This Guy Mike is an extremely talented two-man band consisting of Mike Yerlis and Tony Hodson. This is a quality track remindful of classic James Taylor. Once you hear it, it will be with you the entire day.

16. Ride-Eastwood On the rise, Eastwood is sure to be a major player in rap game. This track, produced by Stu-B-Doo, shows his skills as a lyricist.

17. Undefined-Fencekiller Hard. Fencekiller closes the soundtrack and
doesn’t let you forget who they are.

Oct 21 Snoop to release autobiography and appear in movie, Callin out Names

Snoop Dogg is coming out with an autobiography that should hit book stores in December called: "Tha Doggfather: The Times, Trials, and Hardcore Truths Of Snoop Dogg."  I'm really looking forward to this.  Snoop is also appearing in a new movie called "WhiteBoys".  It's about a kid named "Flip" with dreams of becoming a rapper. In an attempt to fulfill his fantasy, he makes a pilgrimage to a Chicago ghetto.  Fat Joe, Mic Geronimo, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, and Dead Prez all make appearances as well.

For anybody who hasn't heard Kurupts new dis track here it is:  Callin' Out Names

Oct 18 Kurupt/Daz studio shooting, Fair Xchange movie/soundtrack

3 men were shot outside Echo Sounds Recording Studio while standing in the parking lot.  Daz and Kurupt we're inside the studio recording at the time. 23 year old Dwayne "Draws" Dupree, a security guard hired by Kurupt, died from multiple gunshots to the torso. Two others, Jevon "Realistic" Jones and Willard "Act Da Fool" Givers, were wounded but are otherwise ok.  I hope this didn't have anything to do with Kurupts new song "Callin out Names" (see Oct 12th for info).

Thanks goes to 2Paconline for this info, check his site out.  The movie Fair Xchange, a tribute to Tupac, which was originally thought going to be released October 12th isn't going to be coming out until this spring.   The soundtrack is set to be released in mid November.  If you want to order it you can call 1-800-201-4015.  Here's the tracklisting:

Oct 17 Makaveli Records, Tupac featured in the source, Dre Dre renames

I've added some interesting info on Makaveli Records, you might want to check that out.   Tupac is featured in the new source on page 154.  It has handwritten lyrics to some of the poems that will be featured when his book of poetry "The rose that grew from the concrete" is released.  Dr. Dre has renamed his album again.   This time it's been renamed to "Dr. Dre 2001".  The release date has been apparently set back to Nov. 9.  The first single "Still Dre" has been getting some radio play already.  Interestingly his lyrics to that song we're written by Jay-Z.  If anybody has any information on the Tupac tribute movie that was supposed to be released Oct 12th, please post it here.

Oct 12 Site Additions, MTV plays West vs East, NWA Reunion?

I've made a few major site additions, most notably the Theories section.  Also added desktop themes in the download section, a flipside section which shows the good side of Pac, the side the media normally forgot to portray, and I added a few mp3s on the main page.

MTV really, really pisses me off.  On Kurupts new CD he has a new song called Callin Out names, I think it's being renamed to I Call Shots.  But anyways, it disses several people including DMX.  While dissing some people, who happen to be from New York, like DMX and Ja Rule, he gives mad props to others like Canibus and Norega.  Yet the first thing MTV does when they get this story, is make it an East Coast/West Coast feud, when that's the farthest thing away from what it is.  Why can't people in raps have beef without it being East or West ?   Tupac said all along, it's not about East and West, it's about me and Biggie, yet the media wouldn't leave it alone.  Here's the article from mtv.com:

Just when we all thought that East and West Coast rap factions had made their peace, along comes rapper Kurupt of the left coast's Dogg Pound with his second solo album, "Streetz."

The LP features the track "Calling Out Names," in which the rapper tears into New York's DMX for allegedly putting the moves on Kurupt's ex-fiancée, Foxy Brown.   Why bring this sort of brawl onto a record? ...

What a lame article, they even got the name of his album wrong, it's "Streetz is a Mutha."  I heard that Ice Cube is pondering an NWA reunion with Snoop taking the place of Eazy E.

Oct 7 Site is back up after 2 days

The domain is back up and running, sorry about the few days it was down but there's nothing I can do.  Due to the popularity of the domain I'm using a large quantity of bandwidth as it is, with the release of the new script my site was using incredible amounts of bandwidth and it had to be shut down temporarily.  The average site uses probably less than 12 gigs of bandwidth per month and my site was using atleast 2-3 gigs of transfer a day, so I don't blame the hosting for doing what they did, I only wish they'd have emailed me to let me know.

Oct 1 Tupac Movie Tribute, Mister P bites again, new releases

The Tupac tribute movie as I reported last month, is going to be called "XChange" and should be out October 12th.  It'll be lucky if the soundtrack has any Tupac songs at all, Fair Xchange would be a fitting song.  In biting news, if you don't dis Master P yet I'm gonna keep dissing him until you do.   He's renamed his album from Only God Can Judge Me, to "Only God Could Judge Me", I guess somebody told him he wasn't allowed to name his albums exactly after other rappers quotes.  Originally it was supposed to be a greatest hits album, since he said the last album he did, "Tha Last Don" (no comparison to Makaveli the Don), was going to be his last.  Now it's going to be an album consisting of 24 tracks.  He just finished doing a song with Nas of all people called "Where do we go from here", which coincidently is the name of an interlude on Pac's cd R U Still Down.  Speaking of unoriginality I've updated the Anti-Puffy section.  Snoop Dogg's new label Dogghouse records is putting out an album called Eastsiders, the album is rumored to feature Snoop Dogg, Goldie Loc, Tray Dee, Butch Cassidy, Xzibit, Nate Dogg, Kurupt, Sylk-E Fyne, Kam, Warren G and others.  Sounds like it'll be a good CD.  Warren G's new album "I want it all" should be out October 12th.  Kurupts album "Tha Streetz iz a mutha" should drop Nov. 2nd.  I heard from mtv.com Puffy's studio got hit by bullets Friday 1:30am ET, Lil' Kim and Lil' Ceasar were both in the studio but neither were hurt.  There was a trail of blood at the scene but nobody was found.  Puff Daddy was in Florida at the time.   Biggie's new album is set to be released December 7th.  Damn I sure wish they'd release a Tupac album.  The lost boyz have released another album "L.B. Fam IV Life", check it out.  The album comes 6 months after group member Freaky Tah was shot and killed.
