| Nov 27 Planning a big site update |
I'm planning a big update to the site for December
1. There will be 5 new sections added to the site. The Fan appreciation
section of the site inspired by the book 'Dear Tupac: We Will always Remember you',
is now a go for sure as I've had good response. If you want to share with the
world how Tupac influenced you, helped you, how you related to him or what he
meant to you, send me your letter, poetry
or art, and I will post it in this new section. I'm looking for a program or company that will
edit my meta tags and submit my site to search engines. The program or company must
edit the meta tags. I've got a little bit of money to spend. Does anybody know
of any ? | Nov 24 Still I Rise Delayed, search registration |
I'm still looking
for reliable webspace on a good server. If anybody has space they'd be willing
to share please contact me, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for uploaders to help maintain and
increase this mp3 site. Anyone who's willing to help me out please email me.
Also, if you run an mp3 site you can advertise your site on the mp3 page one
banner in exchange per every 20 working mp3 links as is setup on the page now.
If your interested email me. According
to Interscope the
release of Still I Rise has been delayed until December 21. For information on
the new Tupac album click here. I'm looking for a program or company that will
edit my meta tags and submit my site to search engines. The program or company must

If your looking for the new Tupac album
information: Click Here The December/January issue of Blaze Magazine has an article
called The 10 defining cd's of the 90's. It lists Tupacs' All Eyez on Me. You
can click on the picture to the right to read the article. The Fan appreciation section of the site
inspired by the book 'Dear Tupac: We
Will always Remember you', is now a go for sure as I've had good response.
If you want to share with the world how Tupac influenced you, helped you, how
you related to him or what he meant to you, send
me your letter, poetry or art, and I will post it in this new section. Deathrowrecords2000.com:
"Death Row Uncut" is a full-length video that features never before
seen live performances, unadulterated music videos and behind-the-scene footage
from the infamous Death Row Records dynasty. Viewers will get a rare opportunity
to glimpse backstage and behind the scenes at the artists and events that made
Death Row Records the most successful independent record label in the history of
the music business. The film also features the never before seen last live
performances of Tupac Shakur. It should be in stores soon. As I stated in previous new, the Ice Cube sequel to 'Friday',
titled 'Next Friday' will be released on Christmas and will of course be
accompanied by a soundtrack. I've also reported that there was a possible NWA
reunion. Well these news have now combined, Dre has publicly announced that
there's going to be a new NWA track on the soundtrack called 'Chin Check'.
There's still no word on who's going to take the place of Eazy E, either Snoop
Dogg, Xzibit, Eminem or maybe rotating guest emcees. Snoops new album off his new label Dogghouse Records labeled
'Snoop Dogg Presents Tha Eastsidaz' is set for a January 18th release. Tha
Eastsidaz include Tray D and Goldie Loc and the album will feature Daz, Kurupt,
Xzibit, Quik, Nate Dogg and Suga Free. I've had a few people offer me space for mp3s but I'm yet to have any
confirmation. If anybody can provide webspace on a fast server to host
unreleased mp3s please email me. | Nov 19 Tracklisting, cover and samples
!!!, New Book Review |
Here's an official tracklisting and cover from
Interscope. Release
date is December 14th.
I've just finished reading a
new book called 'Dear Tupac: We will always remember you'. It's a really good
book full of actual fan letters, art and poetry. It really gives you a feeling
of what Tupac meant to so many people and it helps you relate your thoughts and
feelings to others around the world. It's contains a lot of inspirational
stories. Single mothers who found faith and strength in the song Keep Ya Head
up. Problems between mother and child healed by Dear Mama. Women who were taught
they deserve better than abuse boyfriends from the song Can U Get Away. People
who were close to or involved in gang activity who decided to look for a better
away. A lot of people looked at their life when it was at their lowest, almost
to the point of wanting it to end, and realized that Tupac had been through even
more than they had, and still had the strength to keep going and realized that
if he could, so could they. The letters written by fans show how loved and
missed Tupac is. It's a touching book that makes you realize just how strong
Tupac's influences were, he's helped change the lives of many, including me, and
he lives within us. Dear Tupac:
We will always remember you ©1999 Afeni Shakur/Destiny Merchandising LP Check
it out. For Fan Club
Information write to: Tupac Family P.O. Box 75210 Los Angeles, CA 90075 The book has also inspired me to make a fan
appreciation section to the site. If you'd like to share with the world what
Tupac meant to you and how he's influenced your life email me a letter at Jon@hitemup.com. If I get enough responses the
section will be made. | Nov 17 Tupac play, Tha Realest |
There's a new play about the life and death of
Tupac that will premiere in February 2000 at Howard University. It's entitled
Seventh Son, written by Kwame Alexander and directed by Kenneth Daugherty. The
production company BlackWords Inc can be reached at 703-912-1755. There's been a lot of controversy over Tha Realest
who appears on Deathrow's Chronic 2000 CD. He sounds very similar to Tupac. | Nov 14 Possible

"D.B.A The Album" (NOTE: Will only feature Gonzoe) Soundtrack
"High Frequency" Rappin' 4-Tay "Introduction To Mackin'" Willie
D "Loved By Few, Hated By Many" There's a really good article in the new Blaze about
Tupac and Biggie. It's called 'Heaven Help Us' and it talks about what Tupac and
Biggie represented to the world. If you haven't already you should check it out.
It also has this cartoon of Tupac and Biggie. The fued between Eminem and his mother hasn't been
resolved. She's sueing for $10 million in a slander suit. She claims she's
suffered emotional distress and has even lost her mobile home. Eminem says she's
been threatening to sue him since the success of 'My Name is ...' The new Blaze also has an article called Y2 Dre that has a funny
line it: "Dre faces the ugly task of validating his relevance to
Generation-Y hip hop fans. Unfortunately, Dre must prove he's still a formidable
talent and reassure his audience that he's not the beat-jacking, traitorous
homosexual that detractors like Tupac Shakur made him out to be. Dre says
"If Tupac knew me at all, the last thing he would say is that I'm gay. But
I blame Suge for that." The
following is from Vibe.com Kurupt
Allegedly Squashes Beef with DMX According to www.manhunt.com, Dogg Pound rapper
Kurupt is working on squashing his beef with DMX of the Ruff Ryders. Kurupt
reportedly called the Ed Lover & Dr. Dre morning show this morning on Los
Angeles' 92.3 the Beat today to announce he was in the process of organizing a
meeting with DMX about the song "Callin' Out Names." Kurupt recorded
the song, which disses Irv Gotti, Ja Rule, the Ruff Ryders (except for Eve and
the Lox) and the Firm, among others, for his forthcoming sophomore solo album,
The Streetz Iz a Mutha. Snoop Dogg is supposedly talking to Irv Gotti as well in
an attempt to end the dispute. Apparently Kurupt is having second thoughts about
including the diss on his album, however, and now wants the song removed. He
apparently feels there are bigger issues at hand like decreasing tension between
the DPGs and Ruff Ryders. Kurupt's label, Antra Records, still wants the song on
the album because of the buzz it has generated for the CD. | Nov 13 Lots of Site/Tupac/Rap News ... |
I've added an unreleased lyric archive. Check that out. Sorry to say that the message forum is down again.
The server I'm hosting it from is having problems. Word from vibe.com is: "Another Posthumous Tupac Album Due Yet
another album from the late, great Tupac Shakur is in the works. Tentatively
titled Still I Rise, the CD is expected to hit stores around December 14 and
will possibly be credited to Tupac & the Outlaws. The Interscope Records
release consists of all new material that Tupac recorded with relatives. Tupac
Shakur was gunned down September 7, 1996 in Las Vegas and died six days later on
Friday the 13th." There's
a rapper called X-Raided who claims he's taking the empty west coast throne left
behind when Tupac died. He did this album from prison where he's serving a 31
year sentence. "With 2Pac gone, there is no one stepping up to represent
the West Coast that has the lyrical skills, plus the intrigue to withstand the
scrutiny that comes with being the best in his region. Now that I have real
vocals, I am claiming the throne that was vacated by the death of Makaveli. Cali
is mine and I am demanding my place at the top of the list of West Coast
MC's". You can check the site: X-Raided Master P is joining the San Diego Stingrays of the
International Basketball League after being cut from the Toronto Raptors.
Regardless of what you think of P you gotta give him credit for his work ethic
and pursuit of his goals. For information on the IBL check out IBLHoops.com More Dre news as the release date for his CD gets
closer. Apparently a home video was stolen from his house during a party. The
tape apparently contains xxx footage and he's afraid it's going to be circulated
around the net like the Pam and Tommy tapes. Note to Dre: Guys want to see
Pamela Anderson naked, not you. Being the paranoid conspirator that I am I can't
help but wonder if this wasn't done on purpose. I find it hard to believe that
just anybody can pop into his house during a party and locate and steal one
video which contains xxx off the shelf or something. If I have an xxx tape of
myself, I don't label it and I put it somewhere it won't be found. I wonder if
this wasn't done on purpose to kill the gay rumors before the release of his CD. The phone number given for the 2Pac conference
being held on December 4th, mentioned in the November 4th news update was
incorrect. The correct number is 510-869-4516. Sorry for any inconvenience. The Following is from
http://daveyd.com We finally got the final and conclusive
information surrounding the upcoming 2Pac conference. First the event has gotten
to be so large that there is now a full fledge concert being held with it.. On
December 3rd The Tupac Amaru Shakur-One Nation Concert will take place at the
Berkeley Community Theater. It will feature Digital Underground, Mac Mall, The
Outlawz, Ray Luv who was 2Pac's first rap partner, Hobo Junction and Rap-A-Lot
Mafia. The conference itself will be held on Saturday December 4th at Oakland's
McClymonds High School. 2Pac's mother Afeni Shakur will be the keynote speaker.
His sister Sekyewa will be opening up the ceremony. 2Pac's first manger Leila
Steinberg who also co-authored the new book of 2Pac poems 'A Rose That Grew From
Concrete' will lead the workshop 2Pac 101. Former Black panther Chief of Staff
and Oakland City Council candidate David Hilliard along with former Panther
editor Emory Douglass will do a work shop that talks about the history of The
Black Panther Party. Former Panther and political prisoner Geronimo Pratt will
conduct the nation building workshop entitled 'Transforming The Mentality From
Predators To Nation Building'. The conference is designed to bridge the
generation gap. For more info call 510-869-4515 or check the website at During the conference there will be a huge Town
hall meeting to alert people and bring everyone up to speed about the upcoming
Juvenile Crime Bill which is on the March 2000 ballot. For some of you reading
this, this may seem a bit redundant, but the viciousness of this bill can not be
ignored. The unfortunate thing is the folks who are seemingly not up on this
bill and its provisions are within the African American community. Very few
newspapers and tv stations have spoken openly about this bill and its subsequent
impact. One of the most troubling provisions in this 'Anti Gang Crime Prevention
Bill is that it will allow the police an incredible amount of power to do
surveillance on youth as young as 14 who they feel are gang members. Under the
bill, a gang will be defined as 3 or more youth who are dressed in the same or
similar gear. If a gang member is caught initiating or recruiting new members it
will result in a felony and adult prison time no matter how old.. So if a a
group of kids hanging out wearing baseball caps backwards they can be considered
a gang by police. If someone from that group calls over another person to come
hang out with the group then that act can be considered as recruitment and a
felony can be charged to all three members. The way the bill reads is 'Anti-Gang and Crime
Prevention'. No where in the bill is there any money or programs set up up for
prevention..Because of the wording, most folks who don't do their homework will
automatically vote yes.. After all, who is against a bill designed to prevent
gang violence? The 2Pac Conference will be one of the first major forums where
the Bay Area's African American community will have a chance to sit down and
really get into the nuts and bolts of this pending legislation. Should this bill
pass, expect it to come to other states real soon.. What goes down in Cali
eventually hits the rest of the country..Look at the anti-immigration bill as
well as the anti-affirmative action bills. Vote No on Prop 21 come the March
2000 primaries. And finally,
the funniest thing you'll hear today, Joe Nicolo has signed Kris Kross to his
label Judgement Records distributed by RCA Records. They have an album set
tentatively for a release in March. | Nov 7 New Book Release, Dr. Dre 2001,

first time in years now. I've already got my money on Lewis. Thanks to mickybombs from the freestyle board for this info: Sway & King Tech of the 'world famous' Wake Up
Show are getting ready to set things off-again. They are holding international
auditions for freestylers who wish to go through rigorous rounds of emcee
battles to see if they qualify to go head to head with Supernatural or Juice. If
you recall back in September, Supernatural who hails from the state of Wisconsin
went up against the Chicago based Juice. It was supposed to be the epic battle
of all time as they two gifted freestylers attempted to win the 5 thousand
dollar 'winner take all' prize purse. Supernatural won and the result was a
whole lot of disgruntled Juice fans who listened to the battle on the radio
complaining that Juice was robbed despite the unanimous nine judge decision.
King Tech explained that while the battle may have sounded close on the airwaves
it was definitely a different story at the actual event. While Juice was able to
drop some nice rhymes. he simply did not have clear dominant presence compared
to Supernatural. He also explained that what folks heard on air was the result
of him having to seriously clean up the sound and equalize it for air play.
During the event Juice's lyrics were muddled and not very clear to the audience.
And that wasn't do to the sound system. It was due to his technique. In any case
it's not certain if Juice and Supernatural will return to the emcee arena to
battle. With regards to the
upcoming tournament, Sway explained that in order for an emcee to have the
privilege of battling Juice or Supernatural they will have to earn that right.
Hence they will have to endure several rounds of battling in which they will get
ranked. There will be several cities in which these battles will take place
including LA and The Bay Area. If anyone wants to get down and see if they
qualify they must call this number 1-818-971-6112 and spit some verses. Sway
emphasized that they are seeking skilled emcees. They don't want any non skilled
crappy sounding wannabe woodchucks trying to get on. Only true lyricists with
battle skillz need to call the number. | Nov 5 Forum is back up, free email

Sorry to say that the message forum is down right
now. The server I host it from www.alleyez.net is down and therefore the forum is
down as well. I don't know how long it's going to be before they're back up,
I'll email the site administrator and try to find out what the problem is. I've heard a lot of rumors on a new Tupac release
'Still I Rise', many of which have been half confirmed. So keep your fingers
crossed and hope it drops soon. C.
Deloris Tucker, who if you didn't know is suing Tupac because of his song
"Wonder why they call u bitch" (Click
here for info) is out to sue all the media outlets who ridiculed her about
the lawsuit. I've said it before and I'll say it again, she's out for money and
publicity. Ronni Ro author of
'Have Gun Will Travel', a book about the Deathrow Records is going to be
releasing another book titled 'Street Sweeper'. The following is taken from Daveyd.com With less then one month to go people here out
west are getting set for the upcoming 2Pac Youth Conference. The event is
scheduled to take place on December 4th at McClymonds High School in west
Oakland. This event is being put together by a number of grassroots
organizations with the purpose of trying to bridge the generation gap between
the young Hip Hop generation and adults who have often maligned the culture.
There will be a workshop that shows who 2pac was and how and why he was so
relatable to many within the community. There will be a number of workshops
focusing on youth issues including police brutality and the upcoming
controversial juvenile crime bill which force 14 year olds to be tried as adults
and make it a felony for 400 dollars worth of graffiti. There will be a workshop
on Male Hood led by activist/poet Marvin X. There will another workshop called
Predators To Nation Builders. 2pac's mom Afeni Shakur as well as former
political prisoner and Black Panther Geronimo Pratt will be on hand. Rap stars
Digital Underground and Mac Mall will also be in the place. For more information
regarding the conference call 1-510-879-4519 Congratulations are in order to artist like Common
Sense, Dead Prez, The Roots, Black Star and Q-Tip to name a few. They have all
put forth their time and talent for an upcoming political Hip Hop project
entitled 'Hands Off Assata'. This album is a benefit designed to bring attention
to 2Pac's exiled Aunt Assata Shakur who now lives in Cuba as well as America's
numerous 'political prisoners'. For folks who are not familiar with the story
surrounding Assata, in 1973 she was known as Joanne Charismard. She was a member
of the Black Panther Party who was accused and convicted for shooting to death a
New Jersey State Trooper. The situation surrounding her case was marked with
controversy as many claimed that she was innocent. Assata managed to escape
prison and has since been hiding out in Cuba. For years Assata was all but
forgotten by the mainstream public until a couple of years ago when current New
Jersey Governor Christie Whitman began to involve herself. She has offered a 50
thousand dollar bounty for her return and has pushed to the US Congress adapt a
policy that would make Assata's return to New Jersey as one of the conditions
for any meaningful US/Cuban relations to take place. |
