The official Tupac Fan Club site is now 2PacLegacy.com, as mentioned on the inside cover of the new album Still I Rise.  In my opinion the site leaves a lot to be desired but check it out.

I've had a lot of emails regarding Fatal only appearing on 1 song on Still I Rise.  I've also heard a lot of rumors about why that is.  Apparently Fatal Hussien was upset that Afeni wouldn't give him clearance to use a song he did with Tupac called Usual Suspects, and not appearing on the new release was his retaliation.  Personally I think not appearing on the album would be worse off for him because he loses exposure in association to Tupac.  I've also heard that he never officially signed with Deathrow and that he's now on Rap-a-Lot records.  Neither reports have been confirmed.

Snoop is appearing on Vibe Online Febuary 1st at 9pm EST/6pm PST.   He of course is starting his own label Dogghouse Records and is ready to drop the first album Eastsidaz.  He's scheduled to release an album titled "The Last Meal" on July 4th/2000 which will fill his contract with No Limit.  From what I've heard of the apparent tracklisting it should be a really good album.

Apparently Deathrow is setting aside the Deathrow Uncut soundtrack to release a Snoop Doggy Dogg's Greatest hits CD.  The title of the greatest hits album has been reported as "Dead man Walking."   I don't know what to think about that title, but I can tell you that I don't like it.

Dr. Dre, Xzibit, Eminem, Warren G and others are doing a show in Atlanta, Georgia January 30th at the Fox Theatre.  If you live in the area I suggest you get your tickets quick. The trio minus Warren G are also doing a show on a USA Networks show "farmclub.com" the following night on January 31st.  It follows WWF Monday Night Raw so it should get decent ratings.

The 19th Annual Bob Marley Day Festival is being held February 19th and 20th in Long Beach Arena, February 21st at the San Diego Sports Arena and from February 25-27th in the Maritime Hall in San Francisco.  KRS-1, Beenie Man, Buring Spear, Bounty Killer and Barrington Levey are all scheduled to perform.

Cash Money held a concert in the Oakland Coliseum January 14th that resulted in a huge riot.  Apparently Bay Area Revenue owners are using the riot as a reason for not wanting to hold any more rap concerts.   Apparently footage was taped of a group of men stomping on another person and has been given world wide exposure.

A MOVE benefit is being held in Philadelphia Friday January 28 with proceeds going to the defense and support of Mumia Abu-Jamal.  You may recognize the name from several Tupac songs, "Mumia Abu-Jamal ... and all the real OG's we out".  Scheduled to perform are Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Dead Prez, People's Liberation Army, Goldilocks and Seeds of Wisdom.   The show is taking place at the Church of the Advocat on 18th and Diamond Streets, Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at (214) 476-8812.

I'm beginning to get the site problems worked out and back together, bare with me.  I've also setup a live chat room which will temporarily replace the message forum until I find a new server and get it setup.

The Deathrow Uncut video is pretty tight.   It has some mad disses to Dr. Dre and a lot of questionable material, typical Deathrow style.  The video has been released in the United States only, if your in Canada like I am try your local Blockbuster and they might be able to get it in.   If your in the US and having trouble finding it some stores have pulled it from shelves because of the content on the cover.   In the most recent issue of Billboard Magazine "Death Row Uncut" premiered at the #11 spot on the Billboard video chart, not bad considering I know a lot of people yet to purchase it.

It's been a hectic week as far as the site goes.  First the site was being hacked (you know who you are and so do I), then I had problems with both the server hosters for the site.  The first transferred the site from a unix to NT system and I had to reupload and reconfigure the entire site, while the second wanted to close me down because of too much bandwidth.  I've got the main site up and running well again and I'm in the process of moving the rest of it.  So if there's any problems please bare with them.   Also, AllEyez.net was recently hacked which is why the Message Forum is down, I was hosting it with them.  I'm working on having everything hosted internally and hope to accomplish this soon.

Tupac's Still I Rise has fallen from 7th to 11th on the Billboard charts, if you haven't yet picked it up you should get out there and pick it up, it's a tight cd.

According to Amazon.com there's a few Tupac import albums about to be released.  The first is titled "They're Trying To Kill Me" and is set to be released on February 15.  The second is a remix album that is going to drop on the 18th of Jan.  The remixes are apparantly done by a dj named Cochise who's releasing the record on his record label called Cochise records.  The tracklisting is as follows:

ODB had his yet another day in court today as in court related to an arrest last year for possession of 20 vials of crack cocaine. Apparently he pulled some pretty funny stunts in court. It was reported that he ignored the judge, fell asleep at one point and asked the female district attorney if she found him horny then called her a sperm donor. The guy must be on crack or something ... uh, damn it all makes sense now.

There's a new soundtrack coming out for an urban comedy called "3 Strikes", directed by producer DJ Pooh. It makes fun of California's 3 strike law that puts 3 time felony offenders away for 25 years to life.

Deathrow News is reporting that Dogghouse Records will release a series of W-Balls mixtapes; a collection of freestyles from Snoop Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound, Tray Deee, Soopafly and other DPG affiliates.  Dr.Dre is also planing to release his own collection of mixtapes together with DJ Jam titled "DJ Jam Presents Back To The Old School With Dr.Dre". It'll feature unreleased N.W.A songs that were put out on swap meets before the group became big.

This comes from MTV.com: Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Flesh-N-Bone, a.k.a Stanley Howse, has been arrested and charged with weapons possession and other violations in California, reports the Reuters news service. Howse, 26, was charged Wednesday with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a shotgun, making a terrorist threats, and resisting an officer following an incident on Monday at the home of a relative in Los Angeles. According to Reuters, Howse had a loaded shotgun at the resident and initially refused officers' orders to leave the house. His bail has been set at $95,000. Flesh is the brother of BTNH's Layzie Bone (Steve Howse) and a cousin of Wish Bone (Charles Scruggs). His criminal record includes assault and battery and other charges in 1993, failing to live up to the terms of his probation on those charges, and assault and possession of illegal fireworks stemming from a July 4, 1997 incident followed by a related altercation a few days later. The latter netted him a sentence of 120 days in jail. The arrest has likely put a kink in the pending Bones Thugs-N-Harmony reunion. Flesh, whose participation with the band has been intermittent over the years largely due to his legal problems and solo career, had rejoined his crew for a new album titled "BTNHResurrection" due for release February 29.

Jay-Z is being sued for biting off Rare Essence, a Washington DC based GoGo group.  He's being sued for copyright infringement and plagiarizing.  This comes as quite a surprise, with all the work Master P and Puff Daddy have done lately I forgot that biting work was illegal.  The group claims Jay-Z borrowed parts from the song 'Do It Again' [Put Ya hands Up] and lifted portions from 'Overnight Scenario'.  The group wants money and writing and production credit..

We're back, another year's gone buy, I hope everybody had a fun, happy and safe holiday.  Just so everyone knows if I have to hear the word millennium 1 more time I'm gonna rage.  Heh heh.  I've got some big plans for the site which I hope to get into full effect in the upcoming year.  I'm starting university this month so I'm going to have less time to work on the site but I don't expect I'll have any problems keeping it in full fling.  Thanks to everyone who supported this site.

I've added the lyrics to Still I Rise.  I'm missing a few songs which I hope to have up soon.  If anybody has the missing lyrics transcribed that they don't mind me using I'll of course give full credit for them.

In Master P wanna be news, the name of his upcoming movie has been reported as One Nation.  In case you weren't aware Tupac and the Bootcamp clique had an unreleased album named One Nation.  An album that was to promote peace between East and West and label it as them vs Badboy.  Please God make him stop.
