| | | DJ Quik calling out Dre and Snoop | | Posted Monday, October 30, 2000 by Chris | DJ Quik is
calling out Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg in his new song, "Status." He says:
"Dr.
Dre, you was right, Snoopy, you raw hog, take it back to the beginning and keep
it gangsta y'all, you owe niggas an apology for stealing Mauseburg's shit,
that's how it is, how it's gotta be, I respect the game and you should too and
if you got a problem with it, this is what we should do, get together, sit down,
get it squashed, and get up, move on to pick up paper and it ain't nothing a
trip, you see, I put it out there with no animosity, no niggas to get it
twisted, now give me resiprocity, 'cause runners get back with only half the
story and if they get you fucked up, then they get half of the glory."

Washington Post had on article titled "Shyne, Under A Cloud" which
talks about his weapons charge, his album, & the similarities between him
& Biggie. It also mentions his music as a reference to Tupac.
"His
debut album consists of 16 tracks with titles like "Gangsta Prayer",
"Ni**as Gonna Die", "The Hit", & "Thats Gangsta".
With a few exceptions, most of these were about what TUPAC SHAKUR proudly
celebrated as the "Thug Life"."

| | | Eminem Strikes back | | Posted Saturday, October 28, 2000 by Jon | Eminem was
allowed into Canada and will likely perform without any legal troubles. There
was some concern raised (Em banned from
Canada ?) after a woman named Valerie Smith cited that his lyrics, namely
"Kill You" and "Kim", violate Canada's "Hate Crime
Law".
In his performance in Toronto before playing "The Way I
Am" Eminem said "I dedicate this next song to that bitch Valerie
Smith," and after playing "Kill You" he said "Bet you didn't
think I was gonna do that one did you" |
| | | Fredwreck Speaks on Snoop's, Xzibit's, and Kurupt's Latest | | Posted Saturday, October 28, 2000 by Rukas | For those
of you who dont know who Fredwreck is, he is one of the fastest up and coming
producers on the westcoast. He is currently proving his worth DJing for Warren
G, Tha Eastsidaz, and Kurupt on the Up In Smoke Tour.
Fredwreck was
recently interviewed by Insider Magazine and mentioned he has finished up Snoop
Dogg's Last Meal with a bunch of songs. He also said he has done some work for
Doggy's Angels (Snoop's female group on his recently re-named DoggyStyle
Records). He has also done some work on Xzibit's new album and Kurupt's new
album. Fredwreck said Kurupt's album would be out later this year. He said he
did eight songs for the album and that it features MC Ren, Xzibit, Everlast, Daz,
Snoop Dogg, and Fred Durst and DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit. |

official, Rakim have signed with Aftermath Entertainment! "We just signed

and the name of his album is going to be Oh My God. This is going to be
the biggest hip-hop record ever, straight up and coming at you from Aftermath,
baby, so fuck all of y'all." Oh My God is set to be released next
year and will be produced by Dr. Dre, Mel-Man and DJ Premier. |
| | | Em banned from Canada ? | | Posted Saturday, October 28, 2000 by Jon | The Limp
Bizkit, Eminem, Xzibit, Papa Roach tour is 19 days away from it's stop in my
hometown of Vancouver Canada, according to DaveyD Em might not be with the tour.
Eminem
may have a difficult time crossing the Canadian border. Apparently his brash
lyrical content on songs like 'Kill You' violate Canada's Criminal Code. It is
illegal to communicate statements that promote hatred against any identifiable
group other than in private conversation. If this law is enforced Em's CDs could
be pulled and his performances cancelled. The woman leading the charge is a
Toronto woman named Valerie Smith. She has filed a complaint to T-Dots Hate
Crime Unit... Maybe its me...but doesn't Canada show all types of R rated movies
where there's violence directed toward an identifiable group? Maybe Em should
rename his album Private Conversations Em is Having With Dr Dre'. I'm began to
wonder about all these attempts to shut down Hip Hop. Either these are elaborate
promotional schemes or we are soon to have some sort of legislation that comes
down hard on certain types of artists. | Source:

a good shot at Deathrow on his 100.3 Tha Beat Radio show tonight. He played the
first single to The Last Meal and then mentioned that it's from the real
Last Meal, not bootlegs or Too Gangsta for Radio. Too Gangsta is of
course Deathrow's latest cd release. Snoop called them Death Hoe and mad fun of
them saying they sold 8000 copies this week, which means they must have sold
4000 this week, when they used to sell millions. |

| | | Rakim signs with Dr. Dre ? | | Posted Tuesday, October 10, 2000 by Jon | | Rakin and
Dre have talked about collabrating for the good part of the last 5 to 6 years
but nothing has eventuated, he was originally set to drop tracks for Rakims then
set comeback album, but as we all know this album didnt eventuate till 98. Rakim
was also suppossed to appear at the time on Dre and Cube's upcoming Helter
Skelter album as well which also didnt evenuate. The plan was to have a Dre,
Cube, Snoop, Rakim collaboration track on Helter Skelter. Well it turns out
Rakim was in LA recently and got in touch wit the good Doctor about him possibly
lacing some beats for his upcoming album which he stated would be his real
comeback, and that he just needed some dope beats for a full album, well Dre
agreed and both have been working on tracks together, both of them started
talking and Rakim has apparently been not only frustrated but annoyed at the
lack of support from Universal on his past to albums and in what he says label
polictics with both album in which Rakim says the Universal wouldnt stop bugging
him about making more commericial cuts on his second album to help it get more
exsposure along with cutting down more contrversial and political subject matter
on his tracks. Rakim stated that he wants to join a label which will help
promote and have his back 100 % and give him total creative control on his
album, he said basically that all he needs is a dope producer behind him and he
can handle the rest from there, word around Aftermath offices is that Rakim has
agreed in word to signing with label, it is uncertain at tha moment if he has
actually signed anything yet. | Source:

the problem will be resolved or the server will be moved to a new box soon.
Thanks to everyone who applied to join the staff as a real audio encoder,

Tupac they kicked some player shit. How Do U Want It and Toss it Up

Evans (yeah Biggie's wife), the song will appear on KCI and JoJo's new album X

| | | Richie Rich - The Game | | Posted Thursday, October 5, 2000 by Jon | | Damn. I've
been waiting for this release since the first time I toked to "Pillow"
on Richie's Seasoned Veteran album. It's previous release date has come and
gone. Now it looks like the album is scheduled for a February 12th, 2001
release. From what I understand the problem is due to legal battles with his
former label Def Jam. |

closed down ThaDoggfather.com out of lack of interest. That is, I don't think
it's worth working on. I'd much rather focus on Tupac and the Lawz. Look for
some big updates in the not so distant future. |
