Lil' Kim involved in Hot97 Shooting |
| Posted Wednesday, February 28, 2001 by Jon |
Just after 3 p.m. Sunday Lil' Kim (Kimberly Jones) was leaving Hot 97 in Lower Manhattan when she and her crew ran into Capone (Kiam Holley) of Capone-N-Noreaga. Apparently an argument took place and shots were fired. One person, Efrain Ocasio, was shot and released from hospital the following day. It's possible the argument had to do with a feud between Lil' Kim and Foxy Brown.- Foxy brown is dissed on Lil' Cease's "Play Around" when Puff Daddy says "Stop trying to sound like her."
- Foxy brown is dissed by Lil' Kim on her album The Notorious K.I.M, "you ain't a star, and your record company know that."
- Foxy retaliates in the song "Bang Bang" off Capone-N-Noreaga's album The Reunion. "Could give a f@!% if your album pushed back, cause when it hit the streats, bitch, its still weak, it still sound lame, and my name still reign."
Noreaga was quoted as saying "Let the females cat fight, and whatever happens, happens. ... But if she needs us to be in her corner to make sure ain't nobody gonna jump in, we'll definitely be there." |

Eminem mentions Tupac ... again |
| Posted Wednesday, February 28, 2001 by Jon |
Eminem mentioned Tupac in yet another rap, seems he can't help himself. On DJ Clue's album The Professional 2 on a track called "What the Beat" featuring Eminem, Method Man and Royce da 5-9 he says:
"My additudes f!#% it, like Pac was at one point Wanna come join it ? Pick up a glock and just point"

Phats Bossi in The Bonapartes? |
| Posted Tuesday, February 27, 2001 by Chris |
According to this message from Napoleon courtesy of OutlawRecordz.com himself, Mil, Phats Bossi and Ya Yo is the members of The Bonapartes. He doesn't mention Akwylah like he did in the Ride Wit Us Or Collide Wit Us booklet and in the Westside Radio interview in November, 2000. It's possible he has been replaced by Phats Bossi.
Late "Phats Bossi" Bankouadagda was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. In 1996, he was discovered by Jerold "Yukmouth" Ellis Jr. and signed with his label, Smoke A Lot Records. In 1997, Phats, his cousin Ronald "Gonzoe" Moore, Keith "Madd Maxx" Walker, Kenneth "Poppa L.Q." Green and Yukmouth founded The Régime who've guest appeared on albums including the Luniz's Lunitik Muzik and Yukmouth's Thugged Out: The Albulation. Phats has also guest appeared on Rhytm & Green's Music And Mail , Gonzoe's If I Live And Nothing Happens, C-Funk's Shrooms, Warren G's I Want It All, D.B.A.'s Doing Business As..., the Big Momma's House soundtrack, the Outlawz Ride Wit Us Or Collide Wit Us and Yukmouth's LP, Thug Lord, due out March 27, 2001. |

Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle |
| Posted Tuesday, February 27, 2001 by Chris |
Snoop Dogg has teamed up with Hustler Video to produce Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle which was shot in Snoop's Dogg Pound compound in Los Angeles, California and is set to be released on February 27, 2001.
"Like myself, Snoop has had to battle for his first amendment rights to say what he wants," Hustler Video owner Larry Flynt said. "My forum is Hustler magazine, Snoop's forum is rap music. This video brings together those two worlds."
The video will feature five sex scenes with six new videos, "Don't Tell" and "In Love With A Thug" from No Limit Top Dogg and three videos from Snoop Dogg Presents Tha Eastsidaz. Nate Dogg and Tha Eastsidaz will be featured in some of the videos, it's not clear in which ones, though. The soundtrack features eleven new songs by Snoop. |

Eminem & Elton Update |
| Posted Sunday, February 25, 2001 by Rukas |
The report I had gotten about the Eminem & Elton John performance at the Grammy's was wrong. Eminem and Elton hugged at the end of the performance. I'm sure the whole performance was set up to take some heat off of Eminem's controversial lyrics and I'm pretty sure he didn't have much choice in doing the show, it was probably decided for him. I doubt the two were exactly friendly backstage and the rumors concerning an argument could be true.
Thanks to everyone who sent in corrections. |

Dre feels they were robbed |
| Posted Sunday, February 25, 2001 by Chris |
Dr. Dre felt that The Marshall Mathers LP would've won the Album Of The Year award at the Grammys if it weren't for the controversy surrounding the LP's lyrics.
"To be perfectly honest, I think we were robbed," Dre said. "It was probably something the Grammys had to do because of the backlash they were going to get for giving him the award."
Greene, chief executive and president of the National Academy Of Recording Arts And Sciences, said that Eminem's lyrics didn't have anything to do with voters giving the prize to Stella Dan's album, Two Against Nature.
"I don't think the content of Eminem's album had anything to do with it," Greene said. "Otherwise, he wouldn't have been nominated or won the other Grammys. The voters truly don't care what the critics think or how they're perceived."
Steely Dan member Walter Becker thought that the 13,000 voters were rewarding his group more for their body of work than Two Against Nature.
"I would be guessing, but that probably had something to do with it," Becker said. "I notice these things tend to be sort of cumulative for the course of a career." |

Eminem & Elton |

Roddy Piper newest addition to Deathrow ? |
| Posted Saturday, February 24, 2001 by Jon |
An article in the Portland Tribune, Tuesday, February 20, 2001 stated that wrestler Roddy Piper is going to do a rap album which will be released on Deathrow Records. Apparently Mr. Piper was upset after listening to the lyrics of Eminem on his 15 year old daughters cd. He plans to record an album and a video with no profanity.
I'm not sure if this is true or not, as there was an error in the article stating Eminem's label was Deathrow Records. Also, Deathrow has enough problems releasing it's own artists albums. I guess we'll see.

Snoop donates '66 Parisienne |
| Posted Friday, February 23, 2001 by Jon |
Vibe is reporting that Snoop Dogg is giving away a replica of the vintage 1966 Pontiac Parisienne car featured in his "Snoop Dogg" video from his latest album Tha Last Meal on March 1st in New York during the taping of the BET music program "106th and Park." However, before the car arrives in New York from its home in Los Angeles, it will take the scenic route inside a specially designed moving truck stopping in various cities to distribute $5,000 checks to local radio stations in support of Snoop's food drive organization the "Last Meal Food Bank." Each station will then disperse the funds to a local charity that feeds the hungry. The broadcast of "106th and Park," in which Snoop will give away the car, will air on BET on Friday, March 2nd from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The rapper will also debut his new single "Lay Low," which features Nate Dogg, Butch Cassidy, Tha Eastsidaz, and Master P on the program. Until The End Of Time update |
| Posted Thursday, February 22, 2001 by Chris |
This is a list of songs that have been confirmed that they'll be on Until The End Of Time:
- All Out
- Ballad Of A Dead Souljah
- Fuck Friends
- Happy Home
- Last One Left
- Let
'Em Have It
- Letter To My Unborn
- Mama's Just A Little Girl
- My Closest Road Dog
- Thug N U Thug N Me
- Until The End Of Time
- Untouchable
Also, according to Makaveli4ever.com "Let 'Em Have It" is a remixed version of "If You Really Want It" in which Storm has been replaced by Alyssa, "Letter To My Unborn" is produced by DJ Quik and Nuttso has been replaced by Above The Law and "Untouchable" is a remixed version of "Catching Feelings" with raps added by Crooked I. To me it seems like this double LP may be ruined because the record label wants to promote its artists and producers.

My take on Eminem and Elton John |
| Posted Wednesday, February 21, 2001 by Jon |
| To me it's obvious what Eminem is doing. He took all kinds of slack for his album containing anti-gay lyrics as well as anti-women lyrics. Since it was nominated for a Grammy there was lots of debate on why such a hateful album would be seen as worthy of a Grammy nomination. Elton John publicly claimed he liked Eminem and was not offended by his lyrics. By performing with Elton John (who is openly gay) Eminem can relieve some of the criticism for his anti-gay lyrics and hopefully take himself home a Grammy. |

Eminem cops a plea |
| Posted Sunday, February 18, 2001 by Jon |
| Eminem recently pled guilty to a charge of carrying a concealed weapon for an incident in June (See Eminem Arrested). He is going to be sentenced on April 10th. He could face up to 5 years prison time but if any prison time was handed out it would likely be 17 months. I can pretty much guarantee the power of money will land him probation, that's the way the system works. |

| Well after receiving numerous emails, it has come to my attention that eminem reportedly stayed in the same hotel as Nelly, and some stuff was started between Nelly's "St. Lunatics" and Eminem's "D-12." Before things got hot, Em decided to switch hotels. Nelly also dissed Em on TRL, saying that he ate m&ms for breakfast. The only question now is, who all does Eminem reportedly have beef with. Im talking major people. Thanks goes to all you guys out there that e-mailed me info. |

| Posted Sunday, February 4, 2001 by Chris |
| Over a year ago we posted that Gonzoe had left The Régime. The reason he left was because he had beef with Yukmouth, it wouldn't surprise me if Yuk cheated him outta money since he has done it to others. |

P.s Be sure to give credit now, I know some people have a jack ya news fetish. It seems that our site get alot of props with Westside2real(old name) making MTV. Now we have made a few fans site's that are very big fans of ours. The site I'm talkin about is kinda a gay site, but we have no problem with gays. I mean you are who you are right Chris? But a special shout out to that gay guy Chris and his site Spankemup. Thanks for giving us a full article for news, we apreciate anyone that's a fan of ours
No thank YOU! You're the one advertising us in every single newspost. Why ain't you replying to what I wrote about you instead? You changed your layout after I said you stole your old one. Why did you do that? Because I was right?
Also, if you're a webmaster and using this tracklist on your website, don't give credit to these two ex-bootlegging nerds, give credit to TowerRecords.com where it actually comes from (and have been up at for a couple of months). |

From ThaFakeizm.com: Thafakeizm.com is happy to bring you the bangin Outlawz track "Hennessee And Weed". You know how we roll at Fakeizm.com we the site that brings new shit and don't jack others shit. Speaking of Jackin, that term kinda reminds me of that 15 year old kid Chris Jackin his little virgin pecker off while viewing this site.
Hey dumbass (or should I say dumbasses since 2Fake is ex-bootleggers, John Hyland and Miles Iverson?), "Hennessey & Weed" is on Raw Footage's LP, Da New Dirty, which was released on February 2, 2000 - exactly a year ago - and we've had it in our real audio section for ages.
Also, you don't jack others shit? What the fuck? Didn't you jack DesignInsites.com's layout for your original layout?
Keep posting your lame disses so I can keep making you look like an idiot. |
