I just got a hunch and checked out www.OutlawRecords.com and sure enough it has been registered and is under construction. I snooped around and found out the registrant is Ron Clines of San Jose, CA 95119 US. The weird thing is, the domain was registed using OzNic.com, which is an Australian company. Hot Boys Under Attack |
| Posted Saturday, February 19, 2000 by Jon |
| This is from MTV: The Hot Boys have been dominating the hip hop charts for the past two years and apparently some player haters want to put a stop to it. A group called the Wild Boyz recently released a song titled "Click Click." The Wild Boyz record is a response to B.G.'s hit "Bling Bling." They warn CMB not to step foot in New York or "Bling Bling" will become "Click Click." No Limit was supposed to be releasing a record called "The Wild Boys" that dissed Cash Money. "Click Click" was released on Go Get Em Records. There is no known relationship between the two labels. Meanwhile, it's unlikely that the Hot Boyz seem worried or will be hiding their chains during their four appearances in New York during the Cash Money/Ruff Ryders Tour. |

Yukmouth, Soopafly, Snoop Dogg and The Outlawz |
| Posted Saturday, February 19, 2000 by Rukas |
Yukmouth's new album, "Thug Lord" will come out March 28th and will feature The Outlawz along with Kurupt, Nate Dogg and The Regime, which is Yukmouth's group. The Regime have an album coming out sometime in the middle of the year on Smoke-a-lot Records, which is run by Yukmouth and is under Rap-a-lot.
Soopafly is on Dogghouse Records and is planning an album for an early 2001 release.
"Death Row's Snoop Doggy Dogg At His Best" is supposed to be released March 28th but will probably get pushed back as everything from Death Row usually does.
I have no idea what is going on with Outlaw Records. At the time, I was assured the information below about The Outlawz on DR was correct, but now I have no idea what is going on. If you have any information, e-mail me.

Outlawz' Record Label |
| Posted Monday, February 14, 2000 by Rukas |
A few contacts of mine have informed me that The Outlawz are now officially signed to Death Row Records on a 4 album contract. This goes against rumors that they have signed to Rap-a-lot Records. Some may argue that the Outlawz are on Rap-alot because they give Rap-a-lot a lot of shout outs and in an unreleased track they say something like "…Now that were on Rap-a-lot, cant wait till our shit drops…". What I think has happened is that The Outlawz did something similar to Wu-Tang. They individually signed to a label (Rap-a-lot) and as a group signed to another (Death Row). I don't however know if all the 'Lawz are on Rap-a-lot as individuals or if some of them went elsewhere, maybe some of them are even on Death Row as solo artists as well.
Look for an Outlawz release this half of 2000.
Oh yeah, this is my first official news post for HitEmUp.Com ;) |
