The words Hit Em Up in the song labeled the same represent that nobody can stop Tupac, and anybody who tries will be faced with problems. For us, for our site, it represents the emotion and the energy and the unstoppable drive that Tupac had for achievement. We represent for Tupac with the intensity and passion with which he represented for us, he spoke for us, the oppressed with no voice, and in turn we must speak for him, represent for him, and keep his words and spirit alive.
I, the founder of HitEmUp, began listening to Tupac with the album Me Against the World. Me Against the World is still my favorite album today, I'm consumed by the emotion and the realness of the album.
Back in the day I was just a little juvenile, 13 years old. I had access to the Internet and threw up a website on Geocities. Over time that website has grown to become what it is today.
We are now the longest running consistently maintained Tupac website on the Internet. The success of HitEmUp.com is based on getting to market first, by starting the website as early as we did we gained a clear advantage over other sites. As well we provided original content, while many sites have copy and pasted material we wrote original content which set the basis for others copy and pasting.
We plan to continue on this path as we move into the next era of hitemup.com. For more information about the next era of hitemup.com check our mission statement by clicking here.
I'd like to give thanks to everybody who has helped and supported the site. There's been a ton of people I've come across in my years running the site that I've both helped and been helped by. There's no way I can possibly list you all, but those who have affected and been a part of the journey you know who you are and you are appreciated.
